<p>Bismuth oxychloride stabilized against light is obtained by heating the bismuth oxychloride at a temperature in the range of from about 300 DEG to about 800 DEG C. for a period of time sufficient to stabilize the bismuth oxychloride. Light stable bismuth oxychloride in pearlescent form produced by this process is useful in cosmetic products.</p> |
