Publicity display plaque on motor vehicle - has plastics cover which clips over elastic base fixed to vehicle bodywork

The automobile publicity display plaque is of the type having a rigid support (1). This support is designed to receive the display (2). It has means for fixing on the coachwork of the vehicle. The display consists of a transparent and flexible plastic mask (5). This mask (5) is designed to cover the display and its support. The mask (5) is clipped into a sealed elastic joint (4) which is fitted between the support and the vehicles coachwork. This joint (4) is formed from a profiled piece of neoprene of 10mm thickness. The mask (5) has bent over edges (6) on which is glued by adhesive (7) a metalloplastic rib (8). This rib (8) presses against the elastic joint (4) and improves the fixing. The plaque is fixed to the coachwork by means of screws passing through holes (3).
