Blow moulding installation with injection moulding station - and blowing mandrel, drawing station with suction plunger and suction orifices

A blow-moulding installation has an injection-moulding station for forming a preform (parison), closed at one end, about a blowing mandrel; a drawing station for longitudinally stretching the parison; and a blow-moulding station for subsequent blow-moulding of the so-oriented parison. The drawing station has a suction plunger which is axially retractable towards the frontal face of the blowing mandrel. This plunger has >=1 suction orifice arranged at that frontal face associated with the outer surface of the sealed end of the parison. The suction orifice can be connected to a source of reduced pressure. Installation can be used in mfr. of plastics bottles. The longitudinal orientation of the parison can be achieved even when only relatively very small diametric regions e.g., near the neck of a bottle to be made, are available.
