Twin annular seal lubrication system - has cavity formed as groove between joint housings and filled with lubricant

The system gives permanent lubrication of two successive annular seals (of toroidal or four-lobe etc.) between a spindle and a bore. A cavity (4) is formed between the two seals (3), and filled with lubricating liquid. It can be simply an annular groove, formed between the two joint housings. The cavity may be filled with appropriate lubricant on assembly, and being trapped by the joints, never needs changing. Furthermore, being constantly in contact with the seals, the lubricant prevents them drying out or gumming up.
