The slab may have either one or two faces which remain visible once it is in position, and it may be made of concrete, a plastic material, glass or ceramic. The slab is manufactured by placing a mixture of natural and/or artificial materials inside a shallow frame. The small spaces in between these materials are injected with a binder and this is done in such a way that the free surface contains nothing to prevent the moulding of the surface. A mould is then made of the surface and this is used to produce a series of identical slabs.
