The labelling machine consists of a chassis and a transfer unit which can be displaced along a number of curved paths. The transfer unit is capable of rotation within the chassis or may pivot on the chassis. The transfer mechanism is operated from a pivot arm which is permanently fixed at right angles to the operating lever. The angular displacement of the transfer mechanism operates on a cam surface. The cam follower is connected to the operating lever. The labels are moved by vacuum pads which are operated by a selector.
