<p>Kiln has bilateral and axial draught to allow control of the progress of the firing with alteration of the heat treatment according to the nature of the treated product, during the course of a heat treatment. The kiln has raised supporting hearth or platform permitting access to the infrastructure of the two parallel galleries each contg. compartments. Each compartment consists of a chamber of square section beneath a solid arched roof provided with charging openings. below each compartment are inclined planes forming an inverted pyramid with an evacuation port at the bottom. The firing does not depend on coal quality, or its ratio wrt the limestone, but only on the colour of the flame and the control of the draught. No under fired or overfired product is obtd.</p> |
