The bicycle rim consists of a tubular part (1) of light material. This is shaped to correspond to the shape of the rim at the bottom. The top gives a "V" section, formed by two straight lines (3). The edges of the rim groove (2) form trunk sections of a cone. The tyre mounted on the rim presses on the faces (3) of the groove (2), to which it is tangential. This gives perfect centering of the tyre and a solid seating in the rim. The rim can take tyres of different dias. The same centering and seating facilities are given for these.
