The conveyor is made up of a number of sections which can be joined together in series to extend the effective length of the conveyor. The sections each consist of a trough with sides and a base which contains the powder or granular material. The inside of the trough carries a feeder which consists of a number of paddles (8) each one of which is fitted at the upper end to a flexible belt. The belt maintains a reciprocating motion over a predetermined short distance. Each paddle is able to move out of the way of the product on the return stroke.
