<p>A mounting system is used to secure electrically-heated rods in the housing of a clothes dryer, clothes or dish washing machine, etc. A profiled and curved clip is attached to the inner housing wall by an intermediate carrier or a reflector. An opening in the clip allows the heated rod to be passed into the assembly and through the axial opening to be held by the clip and the clamping spring. The mounting keeps the heated rod in place under operating conditions, compensating for thermal expansion, and preventing the rod from being damaged by machine vibrations, in a simple assembly which can be made to generous tolerances.</p> |
