The stopper is designed for containers of liquids with dissolved gases, such as fizzy beverages. The stopper fits over the neck of the bottle and is made airtight by a seal (26) and a fixing collar (14). The top (4) is a compressible reservoir and is connected into the interior by a valve (9) covering a hole (8) in the partition wall (5). A small hole (10) allows the reservoir to refill with air. A pouring beak (11) is attached to one side of the stopper and has its own airtight gap (12) and is secured by a chain (12a). A duct (13) in the top wall of the beak which curves upwards (13b) towards the partition wall allows air into the bottle when the contents are being poured out.
