The space-retainer for reinforcing concrete comprises two or more parallel lengthways rods, deviating from the straight line, held together by interposed rods. Diagonal rods are fitted between the lengthways rods in a continuous sequence, deviating from the vertical. The interfacing ends of these are united by one or more connecting rods, which are also welded to one of the lengthways rods. The angle between lengthways and diagonal rods may be 45 deg. the diagonal rods and connecting rods may be different diameter, and the latter may vary in length.
