<p>A buffer device between the pump and a filling machine of pasty substances, such as minced sausage meat, consists of a cylinder with a double piston which is displaced if the capacity of the pump exceeds that of the filling machine and has a boss on the piston rod extension. This actuates a switch and cuts off the pump motor. Compressed air returns the twin piston rod if the mismatch is remedied and cuts in the pump motor. Twin piston eliminates any risk of the compressed air or oil in its contaminating the filling material, or that the later blocks up the air system.</p> |
