<p>External gas supply means for gas-shielded welding comprises a pipe which is open towards teh welding site and which is mounted interchangeably on a support. The pipe is closed by a sliding plug in the region of entry of the gas stream through the pipe wall via a nozzle. Between the nozzle and the pipe wall is an annular channel which the gas enters and from which the gas passes via holes which are distributed over the circumference of the pipe, into the hollow zone of the pipe. Pref. the gas entering the annular channel is conducted on to a wall region of the annular channel or of the pipe. The arrangement allows precise supply of gas without waste.</p> |
