<p>An elastomeric tyre curing membrane is provided on its inner surface with a series of ribs which intereect to form a series of adjacent straight side or curved polygons. It is preferred for the sizes of the polygons to decrease from the centre to the beads of the membrane, thereby giving enhanced strength to the beads where buckling is most likely. The membrane is reinforced by the ribs and can be thinner then hitherto thus giving a better heat transference. Also the heat transference is improved by the turbulence in the heating medium caused by the ribs.</p> |
