<p>The food chopper, for meat, onions etc. comprises a cylindrical pot-like food container (20) which is detachably guided and held on the housing (10) of an electric drive unit (11) whilst the shaft (17) fitted with cutting blades (30, 31, 32) which move axially in the base of the container (20) and into the drive unit (11). The shaft (17) can be adjusted by a hand plunger (39) which is guided fixed against rotation but axially displaceable in or on the lid (24) which closes the container (20). The shaft (17) together with the blade head containing the cutting blades (30, 31, 32) are held in their original starting position by a resetting spring (16). Any danger of injury during use is prevented in that the removal of the lid (24) from the container also causes the removal of the cutting head. The container can be readily removed from the unit for filling, emptying and cleaning.</p> |
