Metering system for roller briquetting press - has valve operating on chute feeding and changing speed of screw feed

The metering arrangement is used in roller type briquetting presses for automatic control of the material supplied. a standard press is re-equipped so that the machine can be operated automatically without operating personnel. The machine can accommodate noncompacted material of different properties and also precompacted material. The metering arrangement has a chute (2) and pressing screw(3). The noncompacted material is metered to the rollers (4, 5) of the press by the chute or the press screw in correct quantities. Between the rollers is formed an ejection position in case of excess feeding. This modifies the position of the metering plate (30) of the chute or changes the rotating speed of the screw.
