Coalplough waste guidance system complete with baseplate and waste side mounted trapping shoe for anchoring to the conveyor. Between trapping shoe (2) and baseplate (1) is a shoe support (3) which is pivotal connected to the baseplate via a hinge joint (4) arranged in the longitudinal direction of the face. The shoe support should incorporate a driver (5) for the trapping shoe (2) and the driver should be plate shaped so as to pass radially into the cylindrical part of the trapping shoe (2). Driver plate and shoe (5, 2) can be drilled so as to register and admit a locking bolt which is in turn made fast by cotter pins either end. The hinge joint (4) should lie below the pushover angle on the conveyor (7) on the waste side, so that the hinge axis runs the same way as the plough but clear of the lower plough guide track.
