The oblong anchoring devices have their ends fixed in the inner and outer wall panels, and some at least of them (5) are of spiral shape for at least part of their length between the ends. They can be in the form of twisted strips, and sharp-pointed at one or both ends. The insulating wall (7) can be mounted clear of both inner and outer panels (1, 2), typically on other anchoring devices, at right angles to the first ones and secured to them at the ends. The spiral portions of the first-named devices can accommodate the insulating wall.
