Concrete foundation pile reinforcing cage - has lengthways reinforcing rods inside mesh with curved rods forming cylindrical sheath

The reinforcing cage for a concrete pile is esp. suitable for a foundation pile. It comprises lengthways reinforcing rods attached to transversely algined ring elements in the cage. There is a mesh or a collection of meshes made up from spot-welded lengthways and cross rods intersecting at right angles. These are arched in a curve in the direction of the cross rods and brought together and joined at the longitudinal edges to form a closed cylindrical sheath with the reinforcing lengthways rods on the inside of the cross rods. The lengthways rods which are part of the mesh may be seated on the outside of the cross rods or the same rods may serve for both sets of lengthways rods.
