Light signal, mainly for road traffic use, has a light bulb located in a mirror reflector closed by a light transparent body. That part of the glass body of the ball shaped light bulb (1) facing the viewer has a mirrored surface. The mirror reflector (2) of the light signal unit is made as a rotation parabolic mirror. A diffuser plate (3) fits over the end of the mirror reflector. The light permeable ring surface (10) of the bulb situated around its pole is chosen so that it allows the whole of that light to pass which, if reflected, would not fall on to the reflector.
