<p>The solid pad brake has a mechanical actuator and it is used for motor vehicles. The brake housing rotates and the brake discs and pads are pushed axially on the brake carrier, which does not rotate. The brake pad system is actuated by rolling elements in conjunction with inclined planes. The actuating rollers are connected by a cage to each other and to the brake carrier so that when the actuating rings are rotated then they are held against each other in their initial position. The cage is provided with projections which rest against restoring springs.</p> |
