The method is for receiving and displaying the preserved program data of the main body at the remote controller. A transmitting circuit (1c) of the remote controller (1) sends the detection key signal to a receiving circuit (10d) of the main body (10). Then the detection flag is set and a microprocessor (10b) of the main body sends the preserved program data corresponding to the program number key signal sent within a certain time after the detection flag is set. When a microprocessor (1b) of the remote controller does not receive the program data within the certain time, it displays the error signal on a displayer (1e). Even receiving the data within the certain time, the microprocessor (1b) try to detect the error signal from the received program data. If there is an error, it displays the error state, but the program data on the displayer if there is not.
