<p>The slab or panel for floor covering or wall cladding, has is visible face formed by a number of ceramic tiles arranged with joint intervals, and a rear side made up from a layer of stable material thick enough to support the tiles; the same material fills the joint gaps, and comprises lightly foamed plastic protruding beyond the outside tiles up to gap-filling level and providing a frame at half joing gap width. In this addn. to the main patent the rear side is coated with a layer of polyamide or other plastic flakes, pref. flaked by an electrostatic process, or using a cemented flake mat, or one with a tear-off foil sheet. Heat and sound insulation is improved.</p> |
