<p>Friction winding shaft for adjacent spool cores for winding webs e.g. of paper or plastics, comprises a drive shaft with a wall of polished steel, bearing axially and radially sliding gripping rollers made of the plastic copolymer "TK 6.6 LA" (RTM) + polyethylene with a friction coefft. of less than 0.2. Intermediate rings are made of the material Al Mg Si 0.5 or a similar Al material, or which the surfaces are rendered wear-resistant with an aluminium oxide coating of which the hardness comprises 600 MHV. Very low tensile forces are obtained with very thin delicate webs. Low friction coeffts. also reduce the response moment of the gripping rollers, preventing contraction and expansion of the material web.</p> |
