<p>1487837 Miscellaneous tools; prizing tools SENSORMATIC ELECTRONICS CORP 17 Dec 1974 [27 Dec 1973] 38235/76 Divided out of 1487836 Headings B4W and B4C An unlatching tool 36 for the lock of a reusable security tag 11 (see Divisions B8 and E2) comprises a pair of confronting jaws 37a, 37b arranged, in use, to straddle the tag and each jaw having an inwardly directed lip for overlying and engaging a given surface of the tag to prevent movement of the tag from between the jaws in a direction past the lips, and a pair of spaced apart fingers 38a, 38b mounted for movement relative to the jaws for engaging another surface of the tag to apply pressure to the tag against the restraint of the jaw tips. In use, the jaws are slid between the tag and an article to which it is attached, Fig. 8, and the fingers are moved upwardly from beneath the tag and article so as to effect deformation of a pair of arms (29a), (29b), Fig. 1 (not shown), of a clamp and the opening of a pair of jaws (31), (32) gripping a lock pin 22. The tool may be manipulated either by hand or by machine.</p> |
