摘要 1488047 Double headed gripper FRIED KRUPP GmbH 27 Nov 1974 [28 Nov 1973] 51405/74 Heading B8H A gripper mechanism, for handling control rods and fuel elements in a nuclear reactor, comprises a gripper housing 10 pivotally mounted in a gripper body 2, movable within a guide tube 1, and grippers, for the control rods and the fuel elements respectively, mounted on the housing 10 to be brought selectively into operative positions upon rotation of the housing. A piston and cylinder assembly 23, mounted within the housing, provides a common actuator for the grippers and has a piston-rod 24, 25 extending from each end. A yoke 26 is mounted on one of the piston-rods 24 and is coupled by links 30, 31 to hook arms 28 which engage in recesses 32 in a fuel element head 34 and is biased by springs 27 to move the piston 23 to the load engaging position of the grippers. The other piston-rod 25 moves in a sleeve 45 with radial bores through which balls 46 project under the control of the piston-rod 25 to engage with a sleeve (63), (Fig. not shown), on a control rod head 62. The piston-rod 25 also acts upon a plunger (64) in the sleeve (63) to disconnect the control rods from the fuel elements. The housing is rotated between the operative positions of the respection grippers by a rack and pinion 11, 12 operated by a lever 16 and is held in said operative positions by a cross head 37 engageable with fingers 18, 19 mounted on the housing and moved by a piston 41 biased by a spring 42 into the engaging position.
