This invention attempts the activation of steel sheet surface by subjecting to a pickling treatment after recrystallization annealing and before forming in the production steps of steel sheets for porcelain enameling using continuously cast slabs as a starting steel, and hence realizes an improved adhesion property without causing fishscale, blistering and pinhole defects and the like even when using a glaze not requiring pickling with sulfuric acid, Ni flashing or the like as an enameling glaze.
