The clip may be used to form an anchorage on a metal winged 'U' section member (1). The member has wings (5,6) or right angled external returns to the upper leg (3,4) ends, and the clip is a block of similar form with internal returns. The returns (5,6) of the member (1) are trapped in the channels (19,20) formed by those (18,20) of the clip block, and one of the channels (19) is deeper than necessary to permit the clip installation by reciprocal sliding motions. The complete clip installation sequence first envisages the deeper clip channel (19) engaging the relevant member wing (5). The clip is then rotated until the other wing (6) and channel (21) are opposite, and finally the clip slides into place engaging both wings. The clip may comprise a plastic block (8) housing two stirrups (10,11) which engage the 'U' section. One of the stirrups (10) has a curved end (22) which acts as a spring effecting the final sliding engagement.
