The machine is tractor drawn and applies herbicide to weeds. It comprises a distribution roller driven by a motor. A second roller (19) contacts the first and holds the herbicide, released through two rows of orifices (23, 24) spaced angularly apart. A sleeve (25) fits over this roller, gripping elastically. It also has two rows of orifices (27, 28) identically spaced apart. Over this sleeve is a sponge surface (31), retained by a slot (30, 32). The sleeve can slide over the roller to adjust the orifice sizes for correct flow, a C spanner being used. Each roller has a filler orifice (21, 29) aligned or sealed in a similar manner.
