Process for mfg. fibrous-concrete-, mortar, or other fibrous constructional material, in which the fibres are spread or sprinkled onto the concrete or other hydraulically-bonded material whit it is still soft, and the fibres are rolled, smoothed or mixed into the concrete etc. before the latter has hardened. After mfg. first fibre layer in this way, a second layer of concrete, mortar, etc. may be applied followed by a second layer of fibrs. The fibres employed are pref. glass or other inorganic fibres, and powdered cement may be put on top of the fibres. Several layers of fibres may be employed in the layer of concrete or other constructional material. During the setting of concrete etc. water evaporates from the mixt. and shrinkage cracks are formed on the surfae, esp. when thin panels or layers are involved. The layer of fibres prevents the escape of the water during setting so that stronger, denser concrete etc. is obtd. and shrinkage cracks completely eliminated.
