A pneumatic force intensifier has a housing which bounds two chambers separated by a membrane. An output rod operates the piston of a master cylinder which is connected with the intensifier. On operation of an input rod, the output rod accepts a difference pressure force generated at the membrane. The output rod (14) has two screw-connected parts in the form of a pin section (16) and a socket section (17). An edging part (16b) is provided at the outer circumference of the pin part (16) and a sheath part (17b) which accepts the edging part is arranged on the socket section (17). This sheath part is deformed so far radially inwards by squeezing etc. to prevent a relative rotation between the socket section (17) and the pin section (16) that it is engaged with the edging part (16b) of the pin section (16).
