<p>Honeycomb panel, esp. for two- or multi-shell, light-wt. structural elements such as are used for casings, claddings, partitions, has (outer) plates held at a predetermined distance by spacers. The plates which are profiled in honeycomb fashion, are provided with moulded-in arrangements of parallel channels, each arrangement running at right angles w.r.t. the other. The panel may be a wood or woodfibre panel, or may be made from plastics material adapted to receive nails without splitting or cracking. The channels have pref. trapezium-shaped cross-section. Pref. >=2 plates with channels facing each other are bonded together in immediately opposite fashion. The prods. are very versatile, since their construction and design does not restrict them to any specialised use.</p> |
