<p>One bath dyeing and washing process with vat and sulphur dyes uses alkali iodiate (I), esp. K iodate (Ia) as oxidant. Pref. synthetic anionic and or nonionic detergents are used. Process eliminates use of heat sensitive conventional oxidants, such as peroxides and (hypo)chlorites. (I) is used at 0.5-3 g l, pref. 1-1.5 g/l, depending on the dye used. E.g. the use of one bath contg. (Ia) and a detergent mixt. gave as good results in vat dyeing as oxidn. with H2O2, followed by washing.</p> |
