PURPOSE:Title compounds of formula I (Y is H, amino-protecting group, acyl; b is H, S-protecting group; p is H, protecting group for branchedchain N; q is H, protecting group for alcoholic OH; UPSILON is H, protecting group for phenolic OH; the SH groups of the two Cys in the molecule may be united to form disulfide linkage; R is H, ester-forming hydrocarbyl, or residue of resin moiety.
