Wooden modular toy vehicle - forms constructional toy which is built up from wooden blocks and discs connected by permanent magnetic fasteners

The wooden toy vehicle is built up from blocks of wood of the same section but of different length (1) and circular wooden plates (4). The pieces are fitted together with magnetic connectors. These connectors consist of a plastics housing (10) containing a permanent magnetic ferrite core (8) with two magnetic shoes (9). The housing is glued into a hole in the wooden block (4). The magnet connects to a revolvable plate (6) held in a cutout (18) in a second block (1). The plate revolves round the screw (17) which fixes it to the block (1). To improve the connection, the plate (6) can be provided with a raised rim which fits round the magnet shoes (9) thus avoiding any sliding of the parts.
