<p>The rear of the car seat is braced on a vertical support (7) which is telescopic and whose upper end is linked to a roof mounted damper (9). This absorbs impact forces abover a set value, to prevent serious injury. The telescopic adjustment allows vertical adjustment of the car seat. The seat back can swing forwards relative to the support to adjust the rake. An adjustable ratchet (11, 12) provides a secure catch between the seat back and the support. The system has all the advantages of a safety mounting for the seat while allowing full adjustment of the driving position.</p> |
