<p>In order to meet the needs of safety regulations, lifting hooks for cranes must carry a plate which indicates the safe working load, the control number and other markings. When this information is inscribed on a plate which is afterwards attached to the hook there is a risk of the plate becoming detached and then lost. The eye (10) end of the hook (1) is flattened and provided with a polygonal shape (6) and the necessary information (8) is inscribed on the surface of the hook. As an additional safety measure a hinged catch (15) is provided so that the load cannot accidentally slip off the hook.</p> |
