The capture device uses adhesive for flying insects where the part of the catcher with the adhesive can be illuminated. The catcher part with adhesive is in the form of a transparent, flat plate which sits in an opaque holder and whose one edge can be lit up by a lamp which sits in the same holder. The transparent plate which serves as the catcher is roughened up on the surface which carries the adhesive. Further, the part which carries the adhesive can be replaced. It can be fixed in the holder with a movable holding device and is not totally covered with adhesive. The part which is free of adhesive is opaque. Alternatively the catcher can be in the form of a transparent cylinder, illuminated by a lamp in its inside.
