Electronic screen wiper operation sensor - has two bare conductors as sensor elements with gap acting as measuring path

The screen wiper operating electronic sensor produces signals which set off the screen wiper motor following the presence of rain droplets on the bare conductor parts of the sensor. The lower part of the sensor prevent the wiper motor being started by droplets accidentally falling on it after the rain has stopped. The sensor assembly consists of a horizontal strip shaped sensor element (1) underneath which a comb-shaped element (2) is fitted with a gap between teh two elements. The teeth of the comb element point upwards. The assembly consists of four units (L) arranged in pairs in a V-shape. The pointed ends of the comb teeth of the lower sensor element are located immediately in front of the strip shaped sensor element forming a horizontal meauring path.
