Control cystem for an output transducer in a printing machine has multivibrator circuit for limiting the operating period of the e.g. hydraulic t transducer. In a typical example an automatic sheet feed control unit (1), e.g. shift register, is connected to control or successive printing functions. Each stage of the register is connected to a respective switching system (2) controlling the function. The first stage of the register is connected through a differentiation (4) to set a multivibrator (7.2) connected to start the transducer (9). The last stage of the register is connected through a differentiator (4') to reset the multivibrator to stop the actuator.
