PURPOSE:To make it possible to transmit the heat of a heater directly to an ionic conductor and to improve a heat transmission efficiency of the heater by disposing the heater on the surface of a sealing member whereon a minute space is formed. CONSTITUTION:A sensor has a pair of electrodes 11 and 12 which are laminated on the opposite sides of an oxygen ion conductor 10 and whereon a prescribed voltage is impressed, and a sealing member which is provided on one side of the oxygen ion conductor 10 and forms a minute space 13A between the same and the electrodes 11 and 12. On the side of the minute space 13A, a heater 15 giving a heat to the ion conductor 10 so as to improve the responsiveness of the ion conductor 10 is provided. The concentration of oxygen in the surroundings is measured from the current value of an ion current generated in the oxygen ion conductor 10. On the occasion, the heat of the heater 15 can be transmitted directly to the ion conductor 10 through the minute space 13A, and as the result, the heat transmission efficiency of the heater 15 can be improved. |
