Power generator utilising energy of sea waves - has vertically reciprocating components spaced at length of waves

The generator consists of several identical or similar components. Each consists of a vertically reciprocating piston (V) which is guided at its upper and lower end. The piston is long enough to extend to a depth at which there is no longer any discernible wave motion. The pistons are spaced longitudinally from each other at a distance which corresponds to the length of the waves. Thus each draws the max. energy from the oscillation of the waves without interfacing with the action of the adjacent ones. The pistons can be coupled at their top to connecting rods and a crankshaft which can be used to drive an electrical generator.
