<p>A valve has an exchangeable seating ring and self-sealing housing closure. There is a cover insert piece, axially displaceable in a valve housing guide and containing the valve rod guide with stuffing box. It lies with an all-round shoulder pressing outwards against a sealing ring supported by a bearer ring. A pressure housing, coaxial to the valve rod guide, and connected to the cover insert piece, exerts pressure on the flexible seal of the seating ring. a strong connection exists between the cover insert piece (3) and the pressure housing (10), and means are incorporated in the insert piece (3) in the form of bolts (18) for adjustment of the force exerted by the pressure housing (10) on the seating ring (7).</p> |
