PURPOSE: To improve the reliability of operation of a vehicle safety device in a vehicle collision by connecting a semiconductor bridge for igniting a reacting member of a tube to one end of a pyrotechnic transmission line formed by a tube including a reacting member to be ignited. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle safety device 10 includes an airbag inflator 12 and a seat belt pretensioner 13, and a pair of ignitable pyrotechnic transmission lines 14, 15; 16, 17 are connected to both axial ends of the airbag inflator 12 and the pretensioner 13. The other ends of the respective pyrotechnic transmission lines 14-17 are connected to annular headers 40-43. In this case, the annular header 40 (so do 41-43) is so constructed that an annular explosion disc 80 is connected to one end of a cylindrical cup 20 and a semiconductor bridge piece 70 is connected to the other end. The semiconductor bridge piece 70 is formed by connecting a pair of pads arranged at a space on a silicon layer by a semiconductor bridge 50, and connected to an impact sensor 30 by electric wires 60, 61. |
