1487351 The complement binding reaction D I BARTOS 27 June 1974 [30 June 1973] 28498/74 Heading G1B The complement binding reaction is carried out by incubating complement in activated patient's serum with complement and at least one antigen or antibody not specific for erythrocytis, in the presence of ambocaptors specific for erythrocytes, and then determining the excess complement by incubation with erythrocytes. A test package for the reaction comprises the reactants other than serum and erythrocytes in solid forms, e.g. deep frozen or freeze dried in a container which can be used as a reaction vessel. The container may be sealed with a cap and may have the reagents stored separately therein. The package may also contain preserved test positive or test negative patient's serum stored separately from the other reactants.
|
