Cyclohexane derivs. (I) and their intermediates are new: In the formula one of R1, R2=H the other=hydroxy or together they form oxo; R3=H, 1-6C opt. branched opt. unsatd. aliphatic or cycloaliphatic radical, 7-9C araliphatic radical, a metallic ion, opt. substd. NH4 or a prim., sec. or tert. amine deriv. R4 is 1-10C opt. branched, opt. unsatd. aliphatic hydrocarbyl or 3-7C cycloaliphatic hydrocarbyl each opt. substd. by (a) 1-7C opt. branched, opt. unsatd. alkoxy or alkylthio, (b) phenoxy opt. substd. by 1 or 2 of 1-3C opt. halo substd. alkyl, halo, phenoxy (opt. substd. by halo) or 1-4C alkoxy, (c) furyloxy, thienyl or benyloxy each opt. mono or independently di-substd. by 1-3C opt. halo substd alkyl, halo or 1-4C alkoxy (d) 1 or 2 F atoms, CF3, or CF2-CF3, (e) 3-7C cycloalkyl (f) phenyl, thienyl or furyl each opt. mono- or independently di-substd. by 1-3C opt. halo substd. alkyl, halo or 1-4C alkoxy. R5 is 1-5C alkyl, 2-5C alkenyl or alkynyl or H; n=2, 3 or 4 and A=trans-CH=CH- or -CH2-CH2-. A typical cpd. is 7-3-(3-hydroxy-(E)-1-actene-1-yl cyclohexane-1-one-2-yl-(Z)-4-heptenoic acid. |
