<p>PURPOSE:To carry out clean thermal transfer recording on paper after image formation by sufficiently cooling the paper, which is performed with fixing process, in a intermediate tray, the outside of a device or a bypass circuit and supplying it to a thermal transfer recording part. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal transfer recording mode wherein the paper P is performed with more than two processes, the paper P is fed to the intermediate tray 6 from a reversal carrying part 9 and once contained in the intermediate tray 6. Thereafter, while the paper P is carried by the latter part of a second paper carrying part 5, the thermal transfer recording is carried out by the thermal transfer recording part 7 provided on the way thereof. Afterward, the paper P passes through a picture processing part 3 and a first paper carrying part 4, and is ejected onto a receiving tray 15. At this time, the picture processing part 3 is not operated, but a photosensitive drum 31 rotates only for carrying the paper. As for the thermal fixing device 46 provided in the first paper carrying part 4, a heat roller 46a is allow to retreat in order to prevent that the paper P is soiled, e.g., the thermal transfer record flows because of heat for fixing.</p> |
