<p>The strip encloses glass in a vehicle window, being inserted from outside in the wall and having a protruding and peripheral flange on the outside. On the inside is a groove, into which thrust pieces with widened feet and tightening bolts fit, so as to pull the flange from the inside against the outside of the wall round the opening. Each piece has a clamping bolt, bearing against the inside of the wall on screwing into it. The groove (9) is undercut so as to form two protrusions above it, extending towards and clear of each other. Their inner surfaces act as stop and guide faces for the widened thrust piece feet (15, 16) portions of which extend to both sides. The mating surfaces of feet and protrusions run parallel to each other, while below the protrusions the groove is wider than the widened portions of the feet.</p> |
