The product (B) may be obtained using additional ingredients such as a triorganoaluminium compound, hydrocarbons (as diluents) and iodine (as catalyst). Examples refer to the homopolymerization of ethylene and to the copolymerization thereof with propylene or butene in the presence of hydrogen and of catalysts prepared from, for instance, (A) i-Bu 3 Al or Et 3 Al, and (B) (a) Mg, (b) EtOH, phenol, octylalcohol, stearylalcohol, cyclopentanol, ethylene glycol and triphenylsilanol, (c) T : (OBu) 4 , Zr(OBu) 4 and OV(OBu) 3 and (d) AlEtU 2 , AlEtCl and AlCl 3 , and in some cases iodine, iodine and butylchloride, and AlEt 3 additionally, using hexane as diluent.</p> |
